The Olympic Flame Relay will take place this year on April 16 and will begin its journey to Paris, where the 2024 Summer Olympics will be held from July 26 to August 11. The modest and symbolic ritual prepared by the Hellenic Olympic Committee in Heraion of Ancient Olympia will be presented by Nikos Aliagas, born in Paris and originally from Stamna Etoloakarnanias, presenter, with Mary Mina as the new High Priestess. The continuation will be given with the handover of the Olympic Flame to the first torchbearer, who will be the Olympic gold medalist in Tokyo, Stefanos Duskos. From the hands of the 26-year-old rower will start the longest torch relay after the one in 2004. It will last 11 days, ending on April 27, when it will reach from the hands of the captain of the National Polo, Yannis Fundoulis, to the representatives of the French delegation. About 600 torchbearers will carry the Olympic Flame throughout the Greek territory, traveling more than 5,000 kilometers in 41 municipalities and ending on April 26 at the Panathenaic Stadium, where the modern Olympic Games were revived.
