95 years of Mikis Theodorakis

The Athens State Orchestra, in co-production with the Ancient Olympia International Arts Festival, celebrates the 95th anniversary of Mikis Theodorakis.
The Orchestra will perform five of the 36 popular works of Nikos Skalkottas, as well as the world-renowned Suite by Zorbas. Intermediate, the intense Violin Concerto in Bach’s la minor, with solist Mr. George Banos. On the podium, the Artistic Director of ASO, Stefanos Tsialis.
As part of the “All of Greece, One Culture” program, a musical event of the Metallon Brass and Percussion Quintet will precede at the Ancient High School of Olympia at 18:00.
